Summit View Business Park is a new industrial park being developed by Franklin County VA. It will be close to a 1,000 acre park when finished. We completed the installation of the second entrance and the new loop road to their largest pad ready site. The grading contractor was tasked with moving over 300,000 CY of material of which about 15-20% of was gneiss rock. The drilling and blasting started well inside the site but continued all the way adjacent to Route 220, a major divided four lane highway. The material was safely blasted in an efficient manner which allowed the contractor to stay on schedule.
